Indian Iron Jali Container | Cylinder
Description
Sourced in India, these old iron Jali containers were originally made as practical storage pieces, with open mesh panels allowing air to circulate through the contents. Each has a simple cyliner form with an iron handle and wooden grip, finished by years of use with a dark, aged patina. Variations in construction, surface wear and rust are part of their original character, with no two pieces exactly alike.
Now used as decorative Indian storage, these iron Jali containers bring an industrial element to a kitchen, bathroom, office or open shelving. Use them to hold utensils, rolled hand towels, stationery or other everyday objects, or simply style one as a collected piece. Their aged iron finish works particularly well alongside old timber, ceramics and natural materials.
